The next morning, I took a look around all of the area stores and it became pretty obvious that circuitcity.com was the best deal: it ended up being about $200 on top of the free $400 Blu-ray player. We have had the TV now for about a half of a week and it is amazing! Here is a picture of the TV:
The TV supports up to 1080p resolution and has 3 HDMI and 2 component inputs. The speakers on it look small but were surprisingly powerful. And it's light too! Only about 60 pounds. We have Dish Network but can't reach the correct angle to get HD programming but one of my coworkers let me have an antenna he isn't using. After messing around with it for a while, we ended up having a decent over-the-air signal from CBSHD, ABCD, and PBSHD which is good enough. The HD channels look pretty good, but nothing really compares to watching a movie on Blu-ray. The disc selection is a bit disappointing at times, but the picture quality is just beautiful.
Speaking of PBSHD, Court found out that they are running the complete Jane Austin series on PBS Sunday nights, so she is pumped that we get PBSHD over the air. As a result it looks like our Sunday nights will be filled for a while.
